Silk Long Underwear: Women's Lingerie Tips
Silk Long Underwear - the story I didn't know
When you live up north or anywhere that it gets cold during the winter and you like to spend time out of doors, eventually the question comes up: long underwear or not? A lot of the time layering can get difficult, however, as shirts and pants do start to get bulky. I just discovered that there is a less bulky alternative out there however that is silk long underwear. Not only is silk long underwear less bulky than its cotton counterpart, but it is also supposed to keep the heat in better. I'm not sure how or why this works out, but that is what I've been told. You can even find wool-silk long underwear blends, probably the warmest long underwear option out there.
Silk long underwear - when not to wear it
As the woman in this video points out, do overdo it on the layering if you are only going to be outside long enough to drive to work and walk through the parking lot. Then the rest of the day you will be sweating and wishing that you had left the silk long underwear at home (and if you're really out there you might covertly remove it in the restroom during lunch break). Silk long underwear really isn't meant for indoor wear unless you are someone who gets cold very easily or needs to keep warm for medical reasons (which is very rarely the case). So generally I would say to steer clear for ordinary everyday occasions.
Silk long underwear - when to wear it
There definitely is a time and place for silk long underwear. For example, if you are going to be going to a Christmas tree farm to cut down a tree. If you are going ice skating at either an indoor or outdoor rink. If you are going for a walk or a hike in chilly weather or cold climates. If you are going camping anywhere not hot and muggy (because those nights get cold). Even something as simple as walking your dog can be more pleasant if you are the perfect temperature for the colder weather; something that can be achieved with silk long underwear.
Silk long underwear - a summation
So if you chill easily, if you are out of doors in cold weather much, or if you just like to layer or sleep in cozy long underwear, silk long underwear could be a good thing for you. Not only is it the warmth of cotton long underwear, but more so, and it's silk on top of that. So unless you live in the subtropics, what are you waiting for?
